Our lessons support schools in delivering the National Curriculum for swimming and water safety, providing pupils with the opportunity to learn a vital life skill in a safe, supportive and engaging environment.

Lesson Information
- 30-minute swimming lessons for up to 30 children.
- Available Monday to Friday.
- Session times available between 9:30am and 12:00 noon and 1:20pm and 2:50pm.
- Delivered at Fenton Manor Sports Complex and New Horizons Leisure Centre.
- Taught from the poolside by qualified instructors.
- Additional support for individual pupils must be provided by school staff where required.
- Aligned with the Swim England School Swimming Charter and National Curriculum requirements.
Venue Information
Fenton Manor Sports Complex
Fenton Manor operates two school swimming lesson slots simultaneously, allowing schools to bring up to 60 pupils per slot.
School swimming lessons take place alongside public leisure swimming sessions. Dedicated teaching areas are maintained to ensure the safe and effective delivery of lessons.
New Horizons Leisure Centre
New Horizons operates one school swimming lesson slot at a time, providing schools with exclusive use of the pool during their booked session. This offers a private learning environment focused entirely on school swimming delivery.
Flexible Termly Bookings
Schools can book swimming lessons across three structured terms:
- Autumn Term – September to December
- Spring Term – January to March
- Summer Term – April to July
Each term consists of a 10-week block of lessons, allowing pupils to build skills and confidence through consistent participation throughout the academic year.
