Parkrun has grown into the largest health and wellbeing movement on the planet for a reason. It's:
- Fun: Enjoy being active in a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Inclusive: Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, or fitness level. Walk, jog, run, volunteer – the choice is yours.
- Free: No subscriptions, no membership fees – just turn up and enjoy!
Their mission is simple: Empowering people to come together, be active, social, and enjoy the great outdoors.
We want to encourage as many people as possible to embrace a healthier lifestyle and continue participating in parkrun. We also aim to inspire more people to experience the joy of volunteering. Whether you're walking, jogging, running, or volunteering, every contribution makes a difference. Remember, nobody comes last at parkrun – it's all about taking part.
Junior parkrun is already making a huge impact, being one of the largest health and wellbeing projects for children with hundreds of events across the UK every Sunday. Parkrun are aiming to grow this even further, encouraging more children to get active and enjoy the benefits of parkrun.
