Self management lease opportunities for clubs

Stoke-on-Trent City Council offer self-management opportunities for local outdoor football pitches.

**Currently, we have NO football pitches available for self-management**

To apply, each organisation must complete the online form below providing a number of different documents:

A copy of your organisations up to date constitution.

Copies of your organisation’s annual accounts for the current year and last two full years

Evidence of your organisation holding relevant insurance to the amount of £5m or a clear commitment to do so if this is not currently in place

A copy of your organisations current equal opportunities statement / policy (if you have one) and evidence of any training or other activity done to ensure this is delivered in practice

A copy of your organisations policy for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and evidence of any training or other activity done to ensure this is delivered in practice

A copy of your organisation’s current sports development plan and evidence that you are delivering this such as photographs, press clippings etc. This should tell us what your sporting ambitions are and what steps you are taking to achieve these.

Details of your accreditation you hold or are working towards such as ClubMark, charter standard etc

Please provide evidence of your affiliation to a relevant national governing body of sport or a member of an affiliated league.

A copy of your organisations current business plan. This should show us that you know what it costs to run your organisation and where the funds to meet this cost will come from

Copies of any current health and safety policy or risk assessments.

Evidence that you have effective volunteering practice in place

Evidence to show that you have a functioning committee/management structure (this may include things like copies of recent committee minutes, evidence of succession planning for your committee, records of training undertaken, letters from partner organisations etc.)

Details that demonstrate the sustainability of your organisation 
E.g. the date your organisation was formed, details of previous facility management experience and if this has ceased details of why, information about any funding your organisation has obtained such as grants and what this has achieved for the development of your organisation.

Details to show how you currently have a positive impact on the community (E.g. Details of current activities, sports development plan and details of past performance, endorsements from partners or National Governing Bodies).

Details to show any current or previous partnership working such as letters of support for your application from your governing body, existing sponsors or partner organisations.

Details of your organisation’s experience / skills in relation to grounds maintenance. This could include:  copies of qualifications for those who would be undertaking Grounds Maintenance (if this will be people within your organisation) plus any training records and costed up proposals for how grounds maintenance of the site will be provi

After you have submitted your completed application pack, each individual piece of evidence provided will be scored as part of the assessment process; these will then be added together to form an overall score of your application.

These scores will help us to determine which organisations offer the council and the wider community the greatest potential benefits as a tenant.

This process will also help us determine what (if any) ongoing or initial support you may require should you be selected as a prospective tenant.

Please note: In some cases, the council may request additional information from your organisation in order to complete the assessment process.
